PDF stands for Portable Document Format. Providing a print ready PDF not only eliminates all of the extra files you would have traditionally sent to a printing company, enabling a hassle free transition from design through to print and delivery. A Print ready PDF must meet certain criteria and contain the following:
- Color – Spot or CMYK (depending on the print method)
- Black Text – Black text is 100% black
- White Text – White text is not set to overprint
- Page size – the document’s page size is the finished trim size.
- Fonts – Fonts are embedded or converted to outlines
- Resolutions – All scans resolution are 300 dpi
- Images – Images are embedded in the file.
- Bleed – Files are supplied with 3mm bleed (1/8 inch)
